Geometry Dash — One Button, Every Beat

Rhythm Platformer

Geometry Dash: the level is the song

Geometry Dash, released by RobTop Games in 2013, turned a one-button platformer into a rhythm game by tying every jump to the music. The cube moves right on its own; you decide when it leaves the ground, and the level is built so that the right moments are the beats. Miss one and you restart, which sounds punishing until you realise a full attempt at Stereo Madness lasts ninety seconds and you learn something on every one.

This copy is the faithful Scratch recreation by Griffpatch, packaged as a single self-contained build and hosted on this domain, so it loads the moment you press Play and keeps working when third-party game hosts go down. Progress on each level is shown as a percentage; your best is stored in your browser.

How to finish your first level

  1. Play to the audio, not the spikes: The jumps are on the beat. Once you hear the pattern, your fingers land it before your eyes confirm it.
  2. Use practice mode early: Drop a checkpoint before each section that kills you, clear it ten times, then go back to normal mode.
  3. Hold through triple spikes: Rapid tapping is slower than a hold. Holding jump makes the cube jump again the instant it lands.

Key Features

  • Original levels: Stereo Madness, Back On Track, Polargeist and more, laid out and timed as in the original.
  • Cube and ship modes: Portals swap between the jumping cube and the gravity-throttled ship mid-level.
  • Hosted here: A single self-contained build served from this site — no outside host to be blocked or to disappear.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Geometry Dash?

Geometry Dash is a rhythm-based one-button platformer by RobTop Games. A cube auto-runs through a level and you jump or fly on the beat; any hit restarts the level.

Is this the real Geometry Dash?

It is Griffpatch's Scratch recreation of the original levels, packaged to run in a browser and hosted on this site. The layouts, timing and music match the original; it is not the paid Steam or mobile version.

What are the controls?

Space, the Up arrow or a click to jump. Hold the button in ship sections to fly up, release to drop.

Does it work on a Chromebook?

Yes. It needs WebGL, which every current Chromebook has; the first load takes a few seconds while the build unpacks.

Why do I keep dying in the same place?

That is the game. Use practice mode to put a checkpoint just before the section, drill it until it is automatic, then run the level from the start.
